The family values consistent routines, imaginative play, emotional warmth, outdoor time, creative screen-free engagement, and a calm but confidently structured household rhythm. Mom works from home and is present in the home approximately 70% of the time, so the ideal candidate must feel comfortable confidently leading the children and maintaining structure and engagement while working alongside a hands-on parent. This role is ideal for someone who naturally brings leadership, initiative, playful energy, and strong executive-functioning skills into a home environment — someone who enjoys actively guiding the flow of the day rather than passively supervising children.
What They're Looking For:
6+ years of experience with young children in a structured home environment High energy, engaging, emotionally warm, and genuinely present throughout the day Strong leadership with children — able to confidently guide transitions, routines, and daily structure in a calm and positive way Naturally proactive and able to take initiative without constant direction Understands the dynamics of a busy household and can assimilate quickly into established routines and rhythms Comfortable managing the rhythm and momentum of a busy household Able to keep children actively engaged through imaginative play, movement, outdoor time, crafts, sensory activities, games, reading, baking, and creative learning Understands how to use playful redirection, songs, games, silliness, and creativity to help children cooperate and transition smoothly Able to confidently manage routines such as dressing, diaper changes, cleanup, hygiene, meals, and transitions without long periods of stalling or negotiation Emotionally steady, patient, and nurturing while also maintaining structure and follow-through Able to redirect children calmly and confidently when they become attached to mom during the day Comfortable supporting a homeschooling rhythm during part of the day Highly dependable, punctual, responsible, organized, and communicative — reliability and consistency are extremely important in this role Honesty, maturity, and upfront communication are very important to this family Naturally tidy and willing to help maintain household flow throughout the day (children's cleanup, kitchen resets after meals/snacks, toy/activity organization, light household support related to the children) Comfortable in an unvaccinated household and aligned with conservative family values This is NOT a passive nanny position.
