ABOUT THE FAMILY

This Plymouth family likes to get outside and play at parks, go on walks/bike rides. They enjoy swimming in lakes/pools. They enjoy playing games at home, reading books, doing crafts, and cooking/baking together. This is a very low screen time family. They are considering getting a large dog in the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be attentive to child safety at all times Feeding children meals/meal prep for them/and packing lunches for school Dressing, brushing hair/teeth, occasional bathing (usually done by parents in the evenings) Taking children on outings such as school, parks, the library, museums, and events Planning/executing age-appropriate activities/crafts Washing/folding/putting away children's clothing Keeping children's toys/belongings organized, including picking up at the end of the day Helping keep track of the school schedule/events, including homework, and helping children get started on homework/projects when they get home from school Making sure kids get some physical exercise daily, such as playing outside, in the basement, parks, and on outings, depending on the weather Helping children learn soft life skills like kindness, patience, helping others, perseverance, healthy emotion management, self-control, deferred gratification, and respect Helping children learn age-appropriate concrete life skills like cooking, cleaning, dressing, speech, motor skills, reading/writing/schoolwork, laundry, planning, packing bags for outings, making decisions; basically any tasks/activities a nanny can help a child learn. Nurturing children's emotional, relational, and spiritual lives. Following parents' directives regarding discipline, behaviors that may be going on at any given time. Very open to conversations regarding any issues the nanny is having with the kids Laundry of the family's towels Occasional grocery/Target pick up Load/unload the dishwasher Keep the kitchen picked up

REQUIREMENTS

Playful, fun, and silly High energy level Creative - coming up with fun activities/crafts Basic cooking/baking skills Willing to give open feedback/good communicator Punctual/reliable Preference is for someone with an ECE degree or similar First Aid/CPR certification Shares Christian faith and is willing to discuss with children Comfortable with driving children to school/outings No Covid vaccination required, but all other recommended vaccinations, including the flu vaccinations
