Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education programs. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your leadership will ensure that our curriculum aligns with best practices in childhood development and that staff are supported in delivering high-quality care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of young learners while managing daily operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior, conflict resolution, and inclusive learning environments. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing mentorship in lesson planning, instructional design, classroom experience, and working with children with diverse needs including special education and disabilities. Oversee staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and skilled team. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare policies across all programs. Collaborate with parents through regular communication, academic advising, and family engagement initiatives to support each child's growth. Manage administrative responsibilities such as maintaining records in Learning Management Systems (LMS), tracking student progress, and coordinating library services or extracurricular activities like physical education or tutoring sessions. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories including Montessori and preschool methodologies. Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional design tailored to early learners. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and external partners. Expertise in working with individuals with disabilities or special needs within inclusive classroom settings. Familiarity with learning technology tools such as LMS platforms to enhance educational delivery. Ability to manage behavior effectively through conflict management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies. Experience in private school environments or preschool settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in tutoring, literacy education, math instruction, physical education teaching, and library services for young children.
