Nanny | Apex, NC

A big-hearted and active single-parent household in Apex, NC, is seeking a reliable, proactive Nanny / Household Manager to support their family of three. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys a balance of hands-on childcare and helping a busy household run smoothly.

The family includes two children:

a happy, energetic 1.5-year-old boy who loves to climb, play, and be near his older sister, and an outgoing, expressive almost 7-year-old girl with a big heart (and personality). She thrives on connection, enjoys imaginative play, and benefits from a caregiver who is patient, emotionally attuned, and comfortable supporting big feelings and transitions. Schedule & Flexibility The family is seeking coverage Monday through Thursday with split shifts: 7 AM-9 AM + 4 PM-6 PM with 2-3 hours of daily floating time for household management tasks. Guaranteed hours based on availability. The family is open to one caregiver covering both shifts or splitting the schedule between two candidates. There is also a strong preference for someone who can provide occasional extended evenings (10/11 pm) or overnight support (typically once per week or every other week) when mom travels for work. Compensation & Benefits $28-$35/hour Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays Signing bonus Additional compensation provided for overnight support Friday's off every week Key Responsibilities Morning routines, including preparing children for school and managing drop-offs (locations are within 5 minutes of each other) Packing lunches, backpacks, and staying on top of school needs Afternoon care, including activity drop-offs/pick-ups, engaging play, and supporting routines Light household management: laundry, meal prep, tidying, and household organization Calendar management and administrative support (e.g., tracking school communications, planning events, notifying mom of household needs) Supporting children emotionally, particularly when navigating feelings and family transitions Ideal Candidate This family is looking for someone dependable, organized, and forward-thinking. A strong candidate will be tech-savvy, proactive, and comfortable helping manage the logistics of a busy household. Mom works from home three days per week and values a collaborative, communicative relationship with the nanny.

Additional qualifications include:
