Job Description

We're seeking an experienced early childhood professional to serve as both Classroom Teacher and Childcare Director. This hands-on leadership role combines teaching, staff support, family engagement, and center operations while maintaining a high-quality learning environment for children. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced early childhood professional to serve in a dual role as both Classroom Teacher and Childcare Director. This position combines hands-on teaching responsibilities with center leadership and administrative oversight. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working directly with children, and possesses strong leadership and organizational skills. ResponsibilitiesClassroom Teacher Duties Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support children's development. Observe and assess children's progress and communicate regularly with families. Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Director Duties Oversee daily center operations and ensure compliance with state licensing regulations. Supervise, support, and mentor teaching staff. Manage enrollment, staffing schedules, and classroom ratios. Conduct staff training, evaluations, and professional development. Maintain required records and documentation for licensing and center operations. Serve as the primary contact for parent concerns and center communication. Support recruitment and retention of qualified staff. Promote a positive center culture and maintain high-quality standards. QualificationsRequired Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent qualifications per state licensing requirements). Previous experience in a childcare center setting. Leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain). Preferred Director Credential or qualifications required by state regulations. Experience managing enrollment and staffing. Familiarity with early childhood assessment and curriculum planning.
