Job Description

We are a dynamic and independent child care center in Edison, NJ. We are currently seeking an experienced Director to join our team. Responsibilities The Daycare Director assists overseeing the day to day operations of the center while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the educational development, safety and welfare of the children and staff. Supervision of staff members Implementing staffing schedule Works to ensure compliance of state regulations Maintaining the facility for "Tour Ready" standards Conducting tours of the center Maintaining accurate records of both staff and children. Designate teachers and primary caregivers as required by State regulations 3-4 hours in classroom or as needed basis Assist in planning and running internal and external events Accept/process payments (ACH and credit card) Updating and Maintaining Health records Maintaining social media eg Facebook Help the owners with the marketing of the center Qualifications The Director must comply with minimum standards, as set forth by current company policies and government and state regulations. Possess a Bachelor's Degree (in a child related field is a plus) or equivalent Child Care or Management experience. CDA is a plus. 4-5 years' of work experience in a childcare program. Demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills. Experience with Procare and Tadpoles Food Program experience a plus Understanding of general business procedures. Ability to communicate company policies and procedures in a firm and clear manner to staff and parents. Strong customer service and communication skills. Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children, parents, coworkers, clients and management. Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by the State and company regulations and procedures. Be proficient in Microsoft Office
