Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Director for Child Care Center to lead and inspire a vibrant early childhood education environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of center operations, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and engaging space for children to learn and grow. Your leadership will drive curriculum excellence, foster strong community relationships, and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports both children and staff. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader committed to advancing early childhood development and education standards. Duties Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans that promote holistic child development, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Lead strategic planning initiatives to expand program offerings, improve quality standards, and enhance community engagement. Manage the center's budget effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality services. Oversee fundraising efforts to secure grants and community support that bolster program resources and infrastructure. Supervise senior staff members, including educators and administrative personnel, providing mentorship and performance evaluations. Cultivate a positive workplace culture through effective management practices, fostering teamwork, professional growth, and staff retention. Represent the center at public events, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders to advocate for early childhood education initiatives. Experience Proven experience in education administration or leadership within a child care or early childhood education setting. Demonstrated success in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs and developmental stages. Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and managing large teams with supervisory responsibilities. Experience in fundraising activities such as grant writing or community partnership development. Extensive classroom teaching experience coupled with leadership roles that involved working directly with children and families. Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, community partners, and stakeholders. Qualifications Required:
Must meet applicable state Director Certification requirements Bachelor's Degree, preferably in early childcare education or a related field CDA is a plus Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role in a licensed childcare program Understanding of state subsidy programs and contracts is a big plus Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by the State and company regulations and procedures 1st Aid and CPR(infant and child) certified within the 1st 90 days of employment Maintain continuing education requirements per company and state requirements Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills required Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Computer proficiency with Microsoft Applications Experience with managing budgets and implementing marketing program Understanding of general business procedures. Solid business acumen, management, and problem thinking skills Be enthusiastic and adaptable Marketing efforts to grow the enrollment of the centerPay:
