Job Description

Child Care - Administrator The Learning Experience of Piscataway, NJ is a Academy of Early Education The Learning Experience of Piscataway is seeking an organized, energetic, and relationship-focused School Administrator to join our leadership team. This position serves as a key operational leader within the school, partnering with the leadership team to ensure excellence in classroom quality, staff development, family engagement, enrollment growth, daily operations, and compliance with all New Jersey state licensing requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, passionate about early childhood education, and capable of balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on support for teachers, children, and families. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience working with infants through preschool-aged children in a licensed child care center. Knowledge of New Jersey child care licensing requirements. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Experience with staff onboarding, training, and compliance management. Knowledge of NJ Grow Kids standards is a plus. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred. Responsibilities Audit and maintain personnel and student files to ensure accuracy and compliance. Complete background checks and manage new employee onboarding paperwork. Track and monitor required staff training and professional development courses. Complete necessary health, safety, and licensing checks and reports required by the State of New Jersey. Ensure ongoing compliance with all New Jersey state licensing regulations and company policies. Support family communication and provide excellent customer service. Partner with the leadership team to maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing school environment. Provide classroom support and assist in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classrooms as needed. Help cover classroom breaks, staff absences, and ratio requirements when necessary. Assist with special events, parent engagement activities, and center programs. Support the daily operational needs of the center and perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the school. Be a team player and provide assistance wherever needed to support children, families, staff, and overall center operations.
