Weekend Nanny 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Princeton, NJ 08540 $25 - $40 an hour - Full-time Private party/home owner. 289 reviews $25 - $40 an hour - Full-time We're looking for a trustworthy, kind, seasoned full-time nanny to support a busy household with four younger children (ages 3, 5, 7, and 10) and two older kids who are largely self-sufficient (ages 14 and 16). This role is for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and genuinely enjoys engaging with kids — and who is looking to stay with a family long-term. Location Princeton, NJ through June Split between Princeton and Rumson more evenly after June Commute time is paid if a mid-shift move between homes is required Start date ASAP Schedule + hours Saturday & Sunday, 12:00pm-8:00pm Childcare + routines Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for children ages 3-10 Expect to be alone with the kids often (a parent is frequently home, but not always) Support morning and nighttime routines (prep and coordination as needed) Help with homework and school-related needs Be comfortable supervising multiple kids and managing transitions calmly and safely Help the family enforce screen-time limits by staying engaged with the kids through play, activities, and interaction Meals + kid-related household support Prepare meals and snacks for the kids (note: older kids are generally independent but may eat prepared food at times) Pack lunches Do children's laundry Keep kid-related areas tidy and organized (toys, kitchen after kids' meals, backpacks/lunch items, etc.) We value a tidy environment, but do not expect cleaning of non-kid-related messes No deep cleaning and no adult laundry Occasional grocery shopping related to kids' meals/snacks Activities + engagement Plan and lead activities, crafts, and active play (not just supervision) Aim for outdoor time as much as possible in fair weather, including applying sunscreen and supporting safe outdoor play. We have a pool and the kids enjoy swimming. Take kids to activities and outings

playground, Grounds for Sculpture, and other kid-friendly trips Driving + travel Driving is part of the role for activities and errands. A car will be provided. If you prefer to use your own safe/reliable car, mileage reimbursement is available. Occasional day-trip travel is required; the nanny will be paid during transit. Household context The household has cleaners and landscapers, and the family is in the process of hiring a house manager. The family has a friendly white dog named Bailey; candidate must be comfortable around dogs. Safety, health + requirements Food allergy policy: the house is cashew- and pistachio-free. Other nuts are fine. Candidate should be comfortable with basic label-reading and general food safety.
