Job Description

Overview A family on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their two children, ages 5 and 3. The schedule typically includes about 50-55 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8am-7pm, 9am-8pm, or 9am-7pm. The children are in school from 9am-2:30pm starting in the Fall and when the children are in school, the family would request the candidate to do light housekeeping/keeping the home tidy (they have a 1x/week deep cleaning service) and cooking/meal prep for the family (the parents eat what the children eat). Both parents work in busy jobs, so the nanny should be proactive and self-sufficient while keeping them informed and working as a team to provide the best possible care for the children. Alternatively, they are open to a nanny who just wants to focus on childcare (and bonus handling family cooking as well if they enjoy that) and can work Monday through Friday 1pm-8pm but be available for 8am-7pm on days when there is no school or a child/the children are home sick from school. Responsibilities All-inclusive care of the children Managing the children's routines and schedules Engaging with the children and energetically involved with them; playing with them, taking them to age-appropriate activities Preparing meals for the family Keeping their spaces and belongings clean and tidy Light housekeeping to keep the home tidy (they have a deep cleaner 1x/week) Qualifications The ideal candidate is a flexible team player with a warm and positive disposition The family is looking for someone playful and engaging who will initiate games, activities, and outings that stimulate their children's curiosity and development If someone has experience with a kosher family, it would be a bonus The ability to speak Hebrew is a bonus Being based in Manhattan is a bonus Salary and Benefits $2,000/week for role at 50-55 hours weekly including light housekeeping and cooking; $1800/week for role at 35 hours weekly just focused on childcare and possible cooking 2 weeks' vacation 5 paid sick days Major holidays off and paid Monthly healthcare stipend of $350
