PART-TIME SITTER
2 Year Old Girl in FiDi (Lower Manhattan) Overview This FiDi family is looking for a reliable, warm, and proactive part-time sitter to support them from Monday through Friday in the evenings. The family has a 2-year-old girl in full-time daycare and they're looking for someone who can help with daycare pickup, evening childcare, dinner cleanup, and keeping toys and children's spaces organized. The parents are very hands-on and are looking for someone collaborative who enjoys working alongside involved parents in a calm home environment. The Ideal Candidate for this Job You are an organized, nurturing, and dependable sitter who enjoys working with toddlers and helping keep a household running smoothly in the evenings. You're comfortable collaborating with hands-on parents and balancing childcare with light child-related household tasks like tidying toys and cleaning up after dinner. You're also comfortable with occasional weekend babysitting and a small dog in the home. Schedule Monday through Friday, 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. •Occasional weekend hours may be available with advance notice. About the Children 2 year old, girl: She attends daycare full-time and has no allergies or medical needs, though she experiences mild eczema during the winter months. The family is at the beginning stages of potty training and is looking for someone patient and supportive with toddler routines. She is described as a happy toddler who benefits from a calm and engaging caregiver. Responsibilities Responsibilities include assisting with daycare pickup as needed, providing attentive evening care, supporting toddler routines and potty training, preparing simple meals or snacks for the child, and helping keep the home organized at the end of the day. The family would also appreciate help cleaning the dining table and kitchen area after dinner, organizing toys and children's spaces, and occasionally providing weekend childcare with advance notice. The parents are very involved and are looking for someone who can collaborate comfortably alongside them in the home. Additional Information The family has a small dog, so comfort around pets is required. Parents are very involved and are looking for someone collaborative and communicative. The family plans to begin paying their sitter/s directly and may transition to payroll later.
