Overview Join our dynamic team at Cardinal Academy Germantown. This position is for a Part-time Float, where your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. In this flexible role, you will provide compassionate support across various classroom settings, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young learners. Your energy and adaptability will help foster positive developmental experiences, while your expertise in early childhood education will shine through in every interaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children of different ages and needs, supporting their growth and learning every day. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to early childhood education. Provide attentive care to children, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool-aged students, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Engage children in play-based learning activities that encourage creativity, social skills, and cognitive development. Follow mandated reporting laws and health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with licensing standards. Collaborate with team members to adapt instructional strategies for children with disabilities or special needs. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being. Skills Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification or training in first aid and pediatric first aid procedures. Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities. Strong classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques. Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with patience, compassion, and professionalism. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and protection.
