We believe in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow. We are looking for a dedicated and visionary Childcare Director to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and foster strong relationships with both our children and their families.
Job Summary:
As the Childcare Center Director, you will be the operational and educational leader of our facility. You will be responsible for ensuring complete compliance with state licensing regulations, developing engaging early childhood programs, managing staff, and maintaining a welcoming, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
Oversee the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
Staff Management:
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and manage daily classroom scheduling.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain full compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Human Services regulations and local health and safety codes.
Family Engagement:
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians. Address questions, communicate student progress, and resolve any concerns professionally.
Financial Oversight:
Manage the center's budget, oversee tuition collections, approve expenses, and assist with enrollment and marketing efforts to maximize center capacity.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility or related field.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of state licensing standards, early childhood development principles, and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hiring).
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, proficiency in basic computer and management software, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
