Child Care Aide

Job Summary Child Care Aide The Child Care Aide plays an essential support role in assisting with the daily operations of our child care facility. This position is ideal for a compassionate, dependable individual who is passionate about working with children and contributing to a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment. Under the guidance of the Director and lead teachers, the Child Care Aide helps carry out educational activities, ensures the well-being of children, and supports classroom management. Responsibilities Assist teachers and staff with daily classroom routines, activities, and supervision. Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for children. Help monitor children's behavior and report any concerns to the lead staff or Director. Assist in meal preparation, snack distribution, and cleanup. Support children with personal care routines as needed (e.g., handwashing, toileting). Foster positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and staff. Participate in center events and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Ensure adherence to all child care safety policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or GED required; coursework or training in Early Childhood Education is a plus. Previous experience working with children in a structured setting is preferred. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in child development. Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, and work well as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional demeanor in a child-focused environment.
