Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Child Care Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team! In this vital role, you will serve as a flexible and dependable presence across various classrooms and care settings, ensuring that children receive consistent, high-quality care and support. Your energetic approach will help maintain a nurturing environment where children can thrive, learn, and feel secure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children of different ages, from infants to preschoolers, while gaining diverse classroom experience and contributing to positive developmental outcomes. Responsibilities Provide attentive care to children across multiple classrooms, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, adapting to each age group's unique needs. Assist with daily activities such as feeding, diapering, nap time, and playtime to promote healthy growth and development. Support classroom teachers by helping implement educational activities that foster childhood development and early learning skills. Maintain a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols diligently. Engage children in age-appropriate play and learning experiences that encourage socialization, creativity, and curiosity. Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs and progress. Participate in ongoing training related to first aid, special education strategies, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Passion for caregiving with excellent communication skills to connect with children and families effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
