Position Overview We are seeking a Florida DCF Credentialed Child Care Facility Director to oversee daily operations, licensing compliance, staff supervision, and program quality. This role is essential to maintaining our license and supporting a smooth transition while ownership completes director credentials. Required Credentials (NON-NEGOTIABLE) Active Florida Child Care Facility Director Credential Must meet DCF licensing requirements for Director per Florida Statutes Level 2 Background Screening (cleared) CPR & First Aid Certification Knowledge of Florida DCF rules, inspections, and compliance procedures Key Responsibilities Serve as the credentialed Director of Record for DCF licensing Ensure full compliance with all DCF childcare regulations Supervise staff and ensure proper child-to-staff ratios at all times Prepare for and attend DCF inspections and fire/health inspections Maintain accurate records: staff files, training logs, attendance, and reports Oversee daily operations and classroom functionality Support staff training, onboarding, and professional development Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and licensing officials Collaborate with ownership on policies, procedures, and program growth • Preferred Qualifications 2+ years experience as a licensed child care director or assistant director Experience opening or stabilizing a new child care facility Strong leadership and organizational skills Familiarity with Gold Seal, VPK, or quality initiatives (a plus) What We Offer Competitive compensation Professional, respectful work environment Opportunity to help shape a growing academy Flexible scheduling and collaborative leadership Potential long-term leadership role How to Apply Apply through Indeed or email your resume and Director Credential documentation to: Only candidates with a valid Florida DCF Director Credential will be considered.
