Our mission is to strengthen student's individualism and confidence through education, opportunities, and support, at every stage of life. Our Child Care Center serves children ages 5 through 13. We provide before and after school care including transportation to and from partner school, afternoon snack, homework help, and enrichment clubs and activities.

Job Description Overview:

We are currently hiring a Van Driver for our After School Program. The Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting school age children to and from school to our program in the Afternoon. They will transport up to 13 children at a time in a 15-passenger van. All schools are a short distance away within Cranston, Warwick, and West Warwick.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Transport children from program to school, ensuring safe arrival and hand-off to responsible adult at school. Pick up children at school and transport to program, ensuring each child is accounted for, Follow all traffic rules while driving, Prioritize safety of children at all times, Maintain a safe and clean van environment at all times, Uphold all program / agency policies and procedures, Participate in on-boarding training and orientation as well as on-going professional development, Maintain effective interaction with colleagues, Communicate concerns to supervisor in a timely manner, Attend agency meetings / trainings as requested

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications (biweekly payment)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Core hours are 2:00pm - 3:45pm/4:00pm (more hours may be available for our child care center however requires more documents to follow State regulations)

Requirements:

At least 18 years of age, Clean driving record with at least three years' driving experience, Chauffeur's license or willingness to obtain, Reliability and professionalism, Love for children, Experience driving children a plus, Ability to clear all required background checks.
