Job Description

Greenville, SC | A private, discrete, and lovely family in Greenville is looking forward to hiring a nanny/house manager this summer for their family. They are seeking a calm, warm, emotionally steady, and physically active nanny who can keep up with high-energy children while remaining composed during times of children testing boundaries. This family is definitely looking for someone who is active outdoors as they are not a family that supports sitting in front of games or television — on the go and keeping the day active. They are seeking a calm, warm, emotionally steady, and physically active nanny that enjoys high-energy children. This role requires a nanny who is naturally engaging and enjoys participating in active, movement-based play such as outdoor activities, sports, and swimming, rather than simply supervising. The ideal candidate is "chill" under stress, does not take a child's behavior personally, and can respond to impulsive behaviors with calm, steady authority. They use clear, minimal language, avoid power struggles, and maintain firm, low-drama boundaries while remaining kind and relaxed in their approach. In addition to childcare, this position includes a house manager component during school hours. After school drop-off, the nanny will independently manage household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, bed making, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and general household organization. They are looking for someone who is proactive, capable of working without direction, and takes ownership of maintaining an orderly and well-functioning home environment. This role also requires flexibility for domestic and occasional international travel with the family. The ideal candidate has a lifestyle that allows for travel without significant personal disruption and is available for trips during weekends, school breaks, and family vacations. Overall, they are seeking a grounded, active, and emotionally resilient professional who can seamlessly balance attentive childcare with household management while maintaining a calm and steady presence in all situations. Further details will be provided upon interviews in order to keep the family's information private. At this time, this is all the information that will be provided. They are only seeking professional nannies that have a desire for a long-term fit. A one-year signed work agreement is required that has option for renewal each year.
