Job Description

The Classroom Teacher creates a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, linguistic, and creative growth of each child served by The Children's Center. This role ensures children are well‑prepared for kindergarten with a strong foundation for future academic success. The Classroom Teacher maintains consistent communication with families regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and developmental milestones. The Children's Center is looking for dedicated people who have the passion to help develop young children and build foundations for their success. We are looking for infant & toddler teachers who can "play" alongside our students, being a role model and care giver while their parents are at work.
Qualified candidates will:
  • Understand principles of early childhood education
  • Demonstrate relationship building skills with children & adults
  • Work effectively and creatively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Support the organizational mission of quality education and child care services
  • Be self-motivated and disciplined to regularly set and achieve work goals, multitask, and prioritize
  • Use good judgement in the absence of detailed instructions
  • Take direction from others
  • Maintain flexibility and patience with changing schedules.
