Job Description

We are seeking dedicated, dependable individuals that are passionate about working with youth. This position requires on-campus stay on a weekend or weekday schedule, working 50 hours per week.
Schedule Options:
Weekday:
Monday at 1pm - Friday at 2pm
Weekend:
Friday at 12pm - Monday at 2pm Position Summary The Live-In Staff plays a vital role in creating a safe, loving, structured, and engaging environment for youth in residential care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while being part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in childcare. Key Responsibilities Provide supervision and care in a family-style home environment Establish a safe, structured, and nurturing atmosphere Model appropriate behavior, values, and life skills Support social, emotional, and behavioral growth Implement trauma-informed care practices Assist with daily routines including meals, transportation, school support, and activities Maintain appropriate documentation and communication with supervisors Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support each child's individualized care plan Qualifications 21+ years old High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred) Valid driver's license with clean record Ability to pass drug testing and background screening CPR/First Aid certification, preferred 1+ year experience working with children or youth (residential or group setting preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Patience, emotional maturity, and sound judgment Ability to maintain healthy boundaries and manage behaviors appropriately Pre-Employment Requirements Drug screening Background checks (FBI, SLED, DSS Central Registry, Sex Offender Registry) Employment physical Since 1935, Crosswell Home for Children has provided a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children and youth across South Carolina who are unable to live with their families.
