Part-time childcare — flexible supplemental income-Star Harbor Care

About this role Star Harbor Care is a boutique in home child care & adult care agency serving DFW families and employer partners. We're looking for a reliable, warm caregiver to join our small team on a part-time basis. This role runs approximately 15-25 hours per week — and we're intentionally building toward a more predictable weekly schedule so you can plan your life around it. It's designed for someone who has another income source or has other commitment during the week but and wants meaningful, flexible supplemental work. What you'll do You'll provide in-home backup childcare — traveling to families across the DFW area and stepping in with warmth and confidence when their regular care falls through. As we grow, you'll also have the opportunity to support older adults through companion care. Every shift is a chance to make a real difference for a real family on a hard day. Availability we're looking for We ask that you keep at least two days per week consistently available for Star Harbor.

Our current preferred availability is:

Wednesday, Thursdays and Friday but we are open to discussion if you are available other days of the week. As our platform partnerships grow this summer, scheduling will become more consistent and predictable week over week. We are looking for caregivers who are Genuinely love caring for children and feel called to support families in their hardest moments Are comfortable traveling to client homes across the DFW area and providing in-home childcare Are a student, returning caregiver, substitute teacher, retired teacher or anyone looking for meaningful part-time work Are CPR/First Aid certified Have prior experience in childcare, caregiving, or a related field Can reliably hold 2 days per work week available and/or weekends for Star Harbor shifts (If you are available other days of the week, we can chat as well) Want to grow with a small, founder-led agency expanding across DFW This role is not a fit if you Need consistent full-time hours or this as your only income Can't commit to keeping at least two days consistently available What we offer $16-$22/hr W-2 employment — no guesswork on your taxes Scheduling that becomes more predictable as we grow — we're not staying ad hoc Direct relationship with the founder — you're not a number here Growing agency with expanding employer partnerships launching this summer
