Full-Time Nanny Position - Richmond, Virginia Area (Relocation Family) A warm, professional family relocating from Washington, D.C. to the Richmond, Virginia area is seeking an experienced, engaging, and dependable full-time nanny to care for their 15-month-old son. The family is looking for a long-term nanny (minimum 1-year commitment) who is passionate about childcare and eager to build a meaningful, trusting relationship with their child. Start Date Late June to Early July 2026 (flexible for the right candidate) About the Family This family is in the process of relocating and values a warm, structured, and engaging home environment. Both parents are professionals; one parent will be working from home while the other will work outside the home. They are seeking a nanny who respects a work-from-home dynamic and can operate independently and confidently. Their son is an active, curious, and energetic toddler who thrives on engagement, outdoor exploration, and stimulating activities. Since this will be a big move, a thoughtful and gradual transition process will be essential. Schedule Full-time position Monday-Friday Approx. 40-45 hours per week (exact schedule to be confirmed) Compensation & Benefits $26-$30 per hour , based on experience 10 days paid time off (5 family-selected, 5 nanny-selected) Paid working interview as part of the hiring process Long-term, stable position with a growing family Key Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care Foster a safe, engaging, and loving environment Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity and development Facilitate outings such as parks, museums, and local activities Support socialization through playdates (including with a close family friend's child) Follow a consistent routine while introducing variety and new experiences Child-Related Household Duties Child's laundry Meal and snack preparation Cleaning and maintaining all areas where the child eats, sleeps, and plays Keeping toys and supplies organized Ideal Candidate The ideal nanny is: Active, energetic, and enjoys spending time outdoors Engaging, creative, and proactive in planning activities Reliable, punctual, and highly dependable Warm, patient, and experienced with toddlers and separation anxiety Confident working independently while parents are present in the home A strong communicator with excellent judgment and initiative Passionate about childcare as a long-term career Requirements Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience , including nanny experience Experience with toddlers Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable driving child to activities CPR & First Aid certified Fully vaccinated (including Tdap, COVID-19, and influenza ) Non-smoker Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check Additional Details Reliability is critical due to parents' work commitments The role requires flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving skills The nanny should aim to build a genuine, long-term bond with the child The family values a nanny who will grow with them and become an integral part of their child's development

Pay:

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
