Job Description

Experienced Toddler Nanny Needed for Long-Term Position with
Bothell Family DETAILS:
Location:
Bothell, WA (Mill Creek Area)
Ideal Start Date:
July 2026 (flexible for the right candidate)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, 35 guaranteed hours/week
Children:
One toddler (currently 13 months old)
Compensation:
$25-$30/hour DOE, 35 guaranteed hours/week, paid time off, paid sick leave, paid federal holidays, mileage reimbursement, and legal household employment via payroll service.
Length of Position:
One-year minimum commitment preferred with strong interest in a long-term fit •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States •
Note:
The family is open to a nanny bringing their own child, ideally between approximately 2-3 years old, provided the arrangement is a positive fit for everyone involved.

As he continues to grow and develop, the family is looking for a nanny who enjoys supporting toddler development through active engagement, play, conversation, and age-appropriate learning opportunities. The family places a particularly high value on reliability, open communication, and consistency. They are seeking a caregiver who takes pride in professionalism, follows through on commitments, and understands the importance of being a dependable partner for busy families. They follow a responsive parenting approach that encourages curiosity, independence, and learning through exploration while maintaining age-appropriate structure and consistency. The Job Description:
This is a childcare-focused position centered on providing attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for one toddler while supporting the family's child-related household routines. The ideal candidate enjoys building strong relationships with children and families, takes pride in supporting developmental growth through play and engagement, and understands the importance of professionalism, reliability, and proactive communication. Reliability is particularly important to this family, and they are seeking a nanny who can provide consistent, dependable support and become a trusted long-term presence in their child's life. Childcare will remain the primary focus of the role. Child-related household responsibilities are intended to support the child's daily routines and maintain organized, functional spaces and can typically be completed during the normal course of the workday.
Responsibilities:
Providing attentive, nurturing care and supervision throughout the day Supporting the child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities, reading, music, sensory play, and outdoor exploration Maintaining consistent routines for meals, naps, and daily activities Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and bottles as age-appropriate Diapering and supporting age-appropriate hygiene routines Encouraging developmental milestones through play-based learning and engagement Washing bottles and child-related dishes Children's laundry Tidying play areas and children's spaces throughout the day Keeping children's belongings organized and well maintained Maintaining open communication with parents regarding routines, milestones, and day-to-day updates Creating a safe, engaging, and positive environment where the child can thrive Nanny Attributes / Qualifications /
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of professional nanny experience caring for toddlers Previous experience working in a private family home strongly preferred Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification required Strong understanding of toddler development Reliable transportation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Exceptionally dependable, punctual, and professional Strong reliability and consistent attendance history Proactive and able to work independently Comfortable working collaboratively with involved parents Non-smoker/vaper Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Legally authorized to work in the United States Up to date on COVID-19, influenza, MMR, and TDAP vaccinations Preferred but not
