The Family:
This warm, playful family in Redmond is looking to partner with a nanny who genuinely enjoys building strong relationships with children, and feels excited taking thoughtful ownership of the day-to-day flow of their care. They value honest, open communication, curiosity, and continuous learning — and they bring that same spirit to the way they work with their nanny. Mom and Dad work primarily from home in a detached office. They are nearby if questions arise, especially during onboarding, but aim for their nanny to feel confident leading the daily rhythm with the children. Their 19-month-old is a curious, energetic toddler who thrives with developmental play and consistent routines. Their 4-year-old is joyful and full of personality. She also has physical disabilities and medical complexities that require full support with mobility and diapering. She participates in multiple therapies. The parents will provide thorough training and ongoing support to ensure the nanny feels confident managing her care independently. She attends preschool part time, and the parents plan to take her to and from. The family is expecting their third child, and care for their baby would begin in January 2027 with a commensurate rate increase. They also have a sweet, friendly doodle mix dog in the home for any nannies with allergy considerations.
The Job Description:
The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for the children.
Typical job duties will include:
  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support development and creativity

A great fit for the position might include preschool teaching, paraprofessional, or CNA experience. The nanny needs to be physically capable to facilitate wheelchair transfers for their 4 year old. Their ideal nanny is reliable and proactive with planning enriching, inclusive activities, has child development knowledge, and possesses excellent communication skills. The family would like to partner with a nanny who genuinely enjoys working with children, who likes to "narrate the day", and who values being present and engaging with children. They envision their nanny being a cherished member of their team/extension of family! The nanny should be up to date with all vaccinations, including DTaP, MMR, annual influenza, and Covid + booster.
