  • Full-time Overview The Child Care Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our child care facility.
This position requires a passionate leader dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in education administration and have experience working with students in various educational settings. The Child Care Director will be responsible for implementing educational programs that promote child development and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and promote holistic child development. Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth. Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements for child care facilities. Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community to promote engagement and collaboration. Manage daily operations, including enrollment processes, budgeting, and resource allocation. Organize training sessions and meetings for staff on best practices in early childhood education and child development. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular facility inspections. Requirements Meet educational requirements for the Director position as outlined in DCF 251; completion of the Early Childhood Education Administrator Certificate, Associate's Degree or higher in Childhood Education or a related field. Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in early childhood education. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with parents, staff, and the community. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Ability to create a positive learning environment that fosters growth, creativity, and exploration among children.
