Job Description

Green Valley Church is in search of it's next Lead Pastor. Green Valley is a staff-led, growing church of in the heart of one top rated places to live in Alabama. Hoover is a large, suburban city in north-central Alabama, 15 minutes outside of Birmingham and known for its strong schools, sports, and family-friendly environment. It's one of the fastest-growing and most affluent cities in the state. The Lead Pastor must meet the biblical qualifications for elders and model Christlike character and integrity. He serves as the primary spiritual leader of the church, responsible for preaching, vision, and leadership. He functions as the lead elder within an elder-governed structure and as the head of staff in a staff-led model, ensuring alignment between doctrine, mission, and ministry execution. Green Valley Church has a long standing history as a people who are committed to Kingdom impact and Kingdom advancement. With a purpose "to show people who Jesus is" and a passion "to see all people experience life-change," Green Valley is rooted in dynamic worship, biblical teaching, spiritual growth, and meaningful service. From its modest beginnings 60 years ago with a handful of believers, to its visible engagement in the community, the church reflects a commitment to caring for people, strengthening families, and meeting the changing needs of our community through faith and service. As people united in prayer, we are asking the Lord to clearly reveal the man He has chosen to shepherd and lead our congregation in the years ahead.
