Job Description

Worship Pastor Community Bible Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is seeking a full-time Worship Pastor to lead and shape the worship life of our largest campus. We are a growing multi-campus, non-denominational church with approximately 1,400 in weekly attendance and a passion to help people know and follow Jesus. We are looking for a spiritually grounded, musically gifted, and pastorally minded leader who can build teams, lead with humility, and help create worship environments that are biblically faithful, engaging, and centered on Jesus.

Position Type:
Full-time Primary Responsibilities Lead and plan weekly worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and ministry staff. Select songs, service elements, and transitions that support biblical, Christ-centered worship. Serve as the primary worship leader and help create a meaningful and engaging worship environment for the congregation. Lead and develop a creative team that helps plan and execute sermon series deliverables, worship service elements, and engaging in-service experiences that support the message, strengthen the worship environment, and help people connect with biblical truth. Recruit, develop, shepherd, and schedule vocalists, musicians, and worship volunteers. Oversee rehearsals and ensure worship team members are spiritually prepared and musically equipped. Work closely with production and technical volunteers to support excellent service execution. Provide pastoral care, discipleship, and encouragement to those serving in the worship ministry. Assist with special services and church events such as holidays, prayer gatherings, weddings, funerals, and other ministry opportunities as needed. Help foster a worship culture that values spiritual authenticity, excellence, teamwork, and servant leadership. Participate in staff meetings, ministry planning, and the broader life of the church. Qualifications A clear and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life marked by spiritual maturity and integrity. A calling to pastoral ministry and a passion for leading the church in worship. Strong vocal and musical ability, with proficiency in leading worship from an instrument preferred. Creative ability to enhance worship experience on stage Experience leading worship in a church setting and building volunteer teams. Ability to lead across generations while helping the church grow in worship engagement. Strong relational, communication, and organizational skills. A team-oriented spirit and willingness to serve alongside church leadership and staff. Theological alignment with the mission, values, and biblical teaching of a non-denominational church. Formal ministry or biblical training is preferred but not required for a highly qualified candidate. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a Worship Pastor who loves the local church, leads with humility, and desires to help people encounter God through worship. The right candidate will be both a shepherd and a leader—someone who can disciple volunteers, build healthy ministry culture, and serve faithfully as part of our pastoral team. This person should also be a creative collaborator who can help bring sermon series and worship services to life through thoughtful planning, team leadership, and intentional service experiences. We are looking for someone who can help shape environments where worship, teaching, production, and creative elements work together to point people to Jesus.
