We're looking for a next-gen leader to disciple our students and young adults, own the Sunday guest experience, and lead spiritually, so people across the Valley find peace and develop purpose by revolving everything around Jesus. About Orbit Orbit Church is a young, portable church plant in Buckeye, Arizona (Phoenix Metro). We set up every week, gather for two Sunday services (9:00 & 10:45 AM), and exist so people will find peace and develop purpose by revolving everything around Jesus. We're growing consistently, we lead with warmth, and we believe in moving forward to the new thing God is doing, not getting stuck in old mercies. The next generation is the future of the church. This is a build role for a leader who wants to shape a ministry, not just inherit one. THE WIN •

YTH:
Students
JUNIOR HIGH & HIGH SCHOOL
Lead the weekly YTH gathering end to end: teaching environment, atmosphere, and follow-up. Build a real discipleship pathway that moves students from first visit, to belonging, to following Jesus, to leading. Recruit, train, and shepherd a team of volunteer leaders, and develop student leaders with genuine ownership. Plan and run the YTH calendar (weekly nights, camps, events, serve days) with excellence and clear safety standards. 2. Young Adults
COLLEGE & EARLY CAREER
Pastor and grow Orbit's Young Adults ministry into a thriving, connected community. Build the bridge so graduating students stay rooted: from YTH, into young adults, into the full life of the church. Create environments (groups, gatherings, serve opportunities) where young adults find purpose and get developed as Orbit's next wave of pastors, leaders and team members. Identify and raise up emerging leaders out of this group for teams across the church. 3. Sunday Guest Experience
FIRST IMPRESSIONS ACROSS BOTH SERVICES
Own the guest journey: parking, welcome, the "I'm New" moment, and the warmth that makes a first-timer feel like they belong. Lead and develop the hospitality and first-impressions serve teams across the 9:00 and 10:45 services. Build and run the follow-up system: Plan Your Visit, new-guest connection, and a clear next step (Dinner Party, groups, and the like). Track first-time-guest connection and own the metric: are guests actually getting connected, not just counted? 4. Leadership Development & Pastoral Care
PEOPLE FIRST
Multiply yourself. Your scorecard is leaders raised up, not just programs run. Provide genuine pastoral care to students, young adults, and families: showing up, praying, walking with people. Teach and communicate from the front as needed, in YTH, young adults, and occasionally on Sundays. Carry the culture of the staff team and align with how Orbit leads. Who You Are A growing follower of Jesus whose character matches the leadership Scripture describes (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1): above reproach, self-controlled, hospitable, able to teach. In full alignment with Orbit's values and beliefs (orbitchurch.org/values-and-beliefs). Relationally gifted. Students, young adults, parents, and guests all feel known around you. Organized and self-starting. You build systems, hit deadlines, and don't need to be chased. A strong communicator, comfortable creating content and speaking to a room. Energized (not drained) by a portable church that sets up and tears down every week. Helpful, not required: a degree in ministry or a related field, prior youth or young-adults experience, and communication skills. We're hiring the leader and the heart first.
The Reality Portable church:
Sundays are all-hands, and you'll help carry the load of setting up and tearing down at a school campus.
Schedule:
includes Sundays, the weekly YTH and Young Adults night, and the rhythms of next-gen ministry (camps, events, evenings).
HOW TO APPLY
Send a resume, a short "why Orbit," and a teaching or communication sample to connect@orbitchurch.org. Compensation is commensurate with experience and discussed in the process.
