Worship Pastor Compassion Church Part-Time or Full-Time Available Reports To:

Lead Pastor & Executive Pastor Compensation:

Part-Time (Approximately 25 Hours Per Week): Starting at $32,500 annually Full-Time compensation based on experience and expanded ministry and production responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading and developing the worship culture of Compassion Church through authentic, Spirit-led worship and strong team leadership. This individual will oversee worship experiences, build and disciple volunteer teams, and help create engaging and excellent Sunday environments that lead people into the presence of God. This role may be either part-time or full-time depending on the candidate s experience, availability, and ability to oversee additional worship production and/or youth ministry responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a passionate follower of Jesus, a strong leader of people, musically gifted, relational, organized, and committed to building healthy teams and a thriving worship ministry.

Schedule Expectations:

Sunday morning services and rehearsals Sunday night youth ministry participation Tuesday staff meetings Weekly worship planning and preparation Additional ministry events and gatherings as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

Worship Leadership Lead worship during Sunday services and special events Create engaging, Christ-centered worship experiences Plan worship sets and coordinate service flow alongside church leadership Recruit, train, develop, and disciple worship team members and volunteers Build healthy culture within the worship ministry Schedule and organize worship and rehearsal teams Production Responsibilities (Full-Time Role) Oversee and manage worship production elements Build and organize tracks for services Manage and operate ProPresenter Coordinate service programming and production flow Work alongside production volunteers to maintain excellence in audio, visual, and lighting environments Help develop systems and processes for worship and production teams Youth Ministry Involvement Participate in Sunday night youth ministry gatherings Help build and develop the youth volunteer and leadership team Support the spiritual growth and discipleship of students Additional youth ministry responsibilities may be assigned depending on whether the role is part-time or full-time Team Development Raise up and mentor leaders within the worship and ministry teams Foster spiritual growth, unity, and excellence within teams Help create a healthy volunteer culture centered on servanthood and worship Qualifications Growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ Strong vocal and musical ability Experience leading worship in a church setting Ability to lead teams relationally and spiritually Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and leadership Experience with ProPresenter, tracks, and worship technology preferred Ability to lead both spiritually and practically in a fast-paced ministry environment Expectations Must call Compassion Church home and actively support the mission and vision of the church Maintain a Christ-centered lifestyle and professionalism in all interactions Be present and prepared for all required meetings, rehearsals, and services Support and uphold the leadership and values of Compassion Church Invest in building people, teams, and ministry culture
