New Life Community Church is a gospel-centered, Bible-teaching church committed to loving like Jesus across cultures and generations. We are a vibrant and diverse church family that values authentic worship, biblical discipleship, meaningful relationships, and practical ministry. Through local and global outreach initiatives, we serve Title I schools, support families recovering from homelessness, feed the unhoused, host recovery ministries, and partner in mission efforts around the world. Within our church family, ministries are thriving. Our Children's Ministry continues to grow through strong leadership and an influx of young families. Our Student Ministry is dedicated to helping students build a biblical foundation while fostering authentic relationships. Most adults participate in Life Groups that meet throughout the week in homes across our community. New Life is a healthy, debt-free church with more than 500 people gathering each weekend. Our staff culture is collaborative, encouraging, and mission-focused. We are prayerfully seeking a leader who will strengthen our ministry and help us continue to reach people with the hope of Jesus. Who is our Next Worship, Care & Community Pastor The Worship, Care & Community Pastor is a full-time pastoral position responsible for leading the worship ministry while providing pastoral care and fostering meaningful community engagement within the church. This role is ideal for a spiritually mature leader who combines musical excellence, pastoral compassion, and relational leadership. The successful candidate will help create worship environments that draw people into the presence of God while extending pastoral ministry beyond Sunday gatherings into the everyday lives of our church family and community. Worship Ministry Responsibilities Recruit, schedule, shepherd, and develop worship team members. Identify, mentor, and equip emerging worship leaders. Build and strengthen a vibrant worship ministry marked by both musical excellence and spiritual depth. Lead rehearsals that are organized, effective, and spiritually enriching. Develop musicians and vocalists in their gifting and leadership. Create environments that encourage authentic, Spirit-led worship. Provide leadership and oversight for age-appropriate worship ministries in Kids, Student, and Young Adult ministries. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to plan meaningful worship gatherings. Oversee worship ministry budgeting and resource management. Model and maintain healthy rhythms of work, rest, and spiritual renewal. Collaborate with the Lead Pastor regarding worship services Care & Community Responsibilities Provide pastoral care for individuals and families seeking spiritual, emotional, or practical support. Oversee benevolence ministry and respond to community assistance requests. Create opportunities for fellowship, connection, and community engagement within the church. Plan and oversee church-wide social events, gatherings, and outreach opportunities. Perform pastoral duties such as weddings, memorial services, counseling, and visitation according to gifting and experience. Help cultivate a welcoming and connected church culture where people are known, cared for, and encouraged in their faith. Qualifications Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and administrative abilities. Be a gifted communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Have a minimum of five years of worship leadership experience. Possess the musical ability and creativity to lead vocalists, musicians, and production volunteers. Be a skilled vocalist and proficient on piano and/or guitar. Demonstrate sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit while maintaining excellence and preparation. Have the ability to preach and teach when opportunities arise as gifting allows. Hold a bachelor's degree (preferred but not required). Knowledge, Skills & Experience Experience leading and pastoring worship and production teams. Proficiency with Planning Center, Ableton, click tracks, guide tracks, chord charts, and related worship technologies. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Ability to oversee service planning and coordinate worship experiences. Experience collaborating with creative, production, and environment teams to enhance worship gatherings. Strong relational and pastoral skills. High character, integrity, and emotional maturity. A genuine passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Christ.
