Job Description

Valley View Bible Church is seeking several paid ministry intern/resident postions (youth, children, worship, and communications). These positions are ideal for someone in an undergradaute or seminary/graduate degree program. These could also be a part-time position for a more experienced candidate. Each position is budgeted at 10-20 hours/week. See more detailed descriptions for each area
HERE . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create safe, secure, and engaging ministry environments Lead the planning, organization, and implementation of programs and activities for the assigned area of ministry (youth, children, worship, communications) including recruiting, training, and scheduling ministry teams Develop creative strategies to engage both our congregation (internal) and our community (external) Manage communication, budget, schedule, facilities, and supplies for specific ministry area(s) of responsibility Assist with general church planning, strategies, and events to engage our community and disciple our congregation
QUALIFICATIONS
A growing disciple of Jesus who demonstrates spiritual maturity and agreement with Valley View Bible Church's beliefs (see https://www.vvbc.org/start-here/what-we-believe/ ) An engaged and active member of Valley View who supports and participates in church-wide events, worship, and service Effectively manage multiple responsibilities and priorities Work well alone and in collaboration with others Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of or the ability to learn Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva, and ShelbyNext (church management software) Friendly, engaging, organized, effective verbal and written communication Flexibility to be available for weekday office hours as well as evenings/weekends for ministry and/or special events when necessary
