PRN (As Needed) About Dependable Hospice Dependable Health Services is proud to launch a new hospice program serving the Tucson community. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual care, emotional support, and guidance to patients and families during life's most meaningful moments. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary hospice team, you will help ensure patients receive holistic, patient-centered care that honors their beliefs, values, and individual spiritual needs. Position Summary The Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual counseling, emotional support, and bereavement services to hospice patients, families, and caregivers of all faith traditions and cultural backgrounds. The Chaplain collaborates closely with the hospice interdisciplinary team to support quality end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity, and compassion. Essential Responsibilities Provide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families. Conduct spiritual assessments and develop appropriate plans of care. Document patient visits and interventions in a timely and accurate manner. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions. Support patients and families from diverse cultural, religious, and spiritual backgrounds. Provide grief support and bereavement counseling as appropriate. Coordinate services with community clergy and faith leaders when requested. Educate team members regarding spiritual care needs and resources. Maintain compliance with hospice regulations and company policies. Qualifications Degree in Theology, Divinity, Pastoral Studies, Ministry, or related field preferred. Previous hospice, palliative care, healthcare, counseling, ministry, or pastoral care experience preferred. Ability to provide non-denominational spiritual support while respecting individual beliefs and values. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Strong documentation and organizational abilities. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Ability to work a flexible PRN schedule throughout the Tucson area.
