Venture Church is a growing multi-site church located in Encinitas, California. Since launching in 2013, Venture has grown to nearly 2,000 people gathering each weekend across 2 locations.

helping people find and follow Jesus. We are passionate about creating environments where people of all ages can encounter God, build authentic relationships, and take meaningful next steps in their faith.
Position Summary:
Venture Church is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and visionary Kids Ministries Director to lead and oversee our ministry to children from birth through fifth grade. This leader will champion a dynamic, safe, engaging, and Christ-centered ministry that partners with families and helps children find and follow Jesus. The ideal candidate is a strong team builder who can recruit, develop, and empower volunteers while creating excellent ministry environments that reach both children and their families. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Vision Provide overall leadership and direction for Kids Ministries from babies through fifth grade. Develop and implement a compelling vision that aligns with Venture Church's mission and values. Create engaging, age-appropriate ministry experiences that help children grow in their relationship with Jesus. Evaluate and continually improve ministry effectiveness, systems, and programming. Responsible to ensure the curriculum is excellent, engaging, and Biblically sound. Volunteer Development Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders and ministry teams. Build a healthy leadership culture focused on discipleship, excellence, and teamwork. Identify and develop future leaders within the ministry. Family Partnership Partner with parents and guardians as the primary spiritual influencers in their children's lives. Provide resources, communication, and opportunities that strengthen families in their faith journey. Create welcoming environments for new families and guests. Team Leadership Supervise and develop one or two part-time staff members as the ministry grows. Collaborate with church staff and campus leaders to ensure alignment across all ministries. Lead ministry planning, scheduling, budgeting, and administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications:
A growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Passion for reaching and discipling children and families. Minimum of three years of church-related children's ministry experience preferred. Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to cast vision and execute ministry strategies effectively. College degree encouraged. Experience in a growing church environment is a plus.
