POSITION SUMMARY

The Next Gen Pastor is a visionary, Spirit filled leader responsible for the overall health, growth, and spiritual development of the entire Next Gen Ministry at Bible City Church encompassing Kids Ministry (Nursery 5th grade), Youth Ministry (middle & high school), and Young Adults Ministry (ages 18-30s). As a church plant, this role requires a builder's mindset someone who can create systems, build teams, and establish culture from the ground up. The Next Gen Pastor reports directly to the Executive Director of Ministry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Visionary Leadership Cast and communicate a compelling, Spirit led vision for all three Next Gen departments Develop and implement a strategic ministry plan aligned with Bible City Church's mission Champion a culture of prayer, worship, and Holy Spirit expectation across all programming Embrace the pioneering spirit of a church plant willing to build, adapt, and innovate Ministry Oversight Oversee all weekly services and programming for Kids, Youth, and Young Adults Ensure age appropriate, biblically grounded, and culturally relevant experiences at every level Lead or delegate planning of retreats, camps, VBS, and special events Develop and maintain safe environment policies; ensure all volunteers are trained and compliant Team Development Recruit, train, mentor, and deploy volunteer leaders across all three ministries Establish a clear leadership pipeline to raise up leaders from within Conduct regular team meetings, vision nights, and leader development sessions Pastoral Care Provide pastoral care to kids' families, students, young adults, and their parents Walk alongside individuals in seasons of crisis, growth, and transition Maintain open, proactive communication with parents of minors Collaboration & Administration Report regularly to the Executive Director of Ministry with updates, metrics, and needs Collaborate with church wide Leadership for integrated events and unified vision Maintain records of participation, volunteer engagement, and ministry activities

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

3 - 5+ years of experience leading youth, kids, or next gen ministry

Church Plant Fit:

Thrives in a startup environment; adaptable, entrepreneurial, and mission-focused

Faith:

Active, growing relationship with Jesus; aligned with our charismatic, nondenominational culture

Spirit-filled:

Embraces and operates in the gifts of the

Holy Spirit Leadership:

Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams

Communication:

Strong preaching, teaching, and interpersonal skills

Character:

A person of integrity, humility, and genuine love for the next generation
