Where Fresno/Madera, CA Job Type Full-Time Posted On April 8, 2026 Classification Non-Exempt Category Ministry Location / Chapter Fresno Madera Area Ministry Model City Life Hours 40 Position Summary Youth for Christ Vision As a part of the body of Christ, the vision of Youth for Christ is to see every young person in every people group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of a local church.Position Summary:
This leader will recruit, equip, and empower teams of volunteers that are reaching kids with the gospel at Roosevelt High School, Tehipite Middle School and at YFC's Downtown Teen Center (DTC) using YFC's Campus Life and City Life models of ministry. The purpose of City Life programming at the DTC is to run fun and engaging programming that connects kids into Christ-sharing relationships. This person will ensure that programming takes place 4-5 times per week via teams of volunteers, seeking to engage 200+ kids from the zip code. Campus Life programming reaches lost teenagers with the gospel by faithfully executing the Relational Ministry Actions (Contacting, Building Times, Club, Appointments, Small Groups, and Student Leadership) and the Five Essentials of Fruitful and Sustainable Ministry Sites. Campus Life Programming atRoosevelt and Tehipite:
(40% time, ~16 hrs/week)- All RMA's are in operation and regularly provide kids with the opportunity to make an informed decision about becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.
- Leaders are recruited, trained, equipped, challenged, supervised, and encouraged as team members (1 leader per 7 kids). Leaders are oriented to the mission of Youth For Christ.
- All administrative details of effective communication and reporting are attended to in a timely manner.
- Students are connected to local church youth ministries.
- All details for the Campus Life programming are attended to, including but not limited to: planning of Club and programmed activities, meeting with students, parents, and teachers, following all school rules and acquiring permissions, supervising and training volunteers, developing, submitting and managing a program budget, establishing ministry goals and objectives.
- Managing program budgets.
Downtown Teen Center Programming:
(40% time, ~16 hrs/week)- Recruiting, equipping and empowering volunteer teams.
- Ensuring 4+ weekly programming opportunities with relevant and wholistic programming that engage kids in Christ-sharing relationships with mentors and each other.
- Outreaches to kids and teens in the community
Teen Center Care:
Addressing building needs including alarms, vendors, repairmen, weekly walkthroughs to straighten up/spot clean.- Managing the DTC budget.
General Staff Expectations:
(8% time, ~8 hrs/week)- Participate in all staff meetings, retreats, and YFC functions.
- Fulfill ministry fundraising expectations (including but not limited to sending quarterly Support Letters, seeking in-kind donations, asking for support for the ministry directly, and participating in every "all-staff" ministry or fundraising event unless excused by the Executive Director, etc).
- Carry out the agreed-upon work schedule, communicating variations in advance.
- Maintain a vital and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate that relationship through a morally upstanding lifestyle that is in keeping with biblical principles (see and sign YFC Living the Life of a Leader).
- Demonstrate involvement in a local church through regular attendance, relationships with other members, and participation in ministry programs and events.
- Fully embrace the Youth For Christ vision and mission, and statement of faith.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Minimum Requirements:
- College Degree.
- Working knowledge of and ability to use G-Suite applications and a professional level of proficiency with technology.
- Spiritual gifts of importance to this position are evangelism, leadership, administration, and shepherding.
- Portions of this job will require the employee to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Working Relationships
- Responsible directly to the Director of Ministry.
- Supervises assigned interns and volunteers.
- Interacts with all F/M YFC staff and volunteers. Compensation Package
- Hourly rate is $20-$23/hr as determined by the Executive Director.
- Benefits eligible.
- 40 hours per week, Ministerial Exemption preferred.
