  • Part-time Overview The Community Church is a multicultural, multigenerational congregation of 60-80 people.
We are seeking a Worship Director who can help lead and grow a worship ministry that faithfully serves our church community
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Vision & Leadership Partner with the Lead Pastor and staff to maintain a clear vision and set goals Develop and mentor worship leaders and team members of all ages Help develop clear standards and a pathway for growth Participate in staff and leadership meetings and collaborate across ministries 2. Worship Leadership & Planning Plan and lead Sunday worship and special services, arranging songs as necessary for an intergenerational community Align music and service elements with teaching and church initiatives. Prepare weekly service plans, song selections, manage weekly worship team sign ups, assemble teams and oversee Sunday readiness (ie. prayer, run-through, soundcheck) 3. Rehearsals & Musical Direction Lead and run effective rehearsals that build both skill and spiritual growth (ie. Prayer, Scripture, devotions) Possess working knowledge of instruments while able to coach and direct instruments Collaborate closely with the A/V team 4. Team Development & Shepherding Recruit, schedule, and care for worship and production volunteers Coach team members at varying skill levels Mentor youth and emerging leaders. 5. Production & Creative Work with A/V teams including coordinating lighting and video, to assist with overall production Steward equipment and introduce thoughtful creative elements. 6. Events & Administration Lead key seasonal services (e.g., Christmas, Easter) and special events. Manage Planning Center scheduling and team coordination, including organizing and building teams for the month Oversee budget, communication, and CCLI reporting. Qualifications Growing relationship with Jesus and spiritual maturity Able to lead vocally while playing an instrument Experience leading worship and volunteer teams Ability to develop people across all musical skill levels as part of the worship team Familiarity with worship technology and software (or willingness to learn, ie. Planning Center, Pro-Presenter) Strong communication and organizational skills Must pass a background check and fingerprint screening Character Humble, servant-hearted, and team-oriented Emotionally mature and relationally strong Lives in alignment with the mission and values of
The Community Church Position Detail:
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 10
  • 15 hours per week.
Hours will typically include rehearsal, Sunday morning services, and additional time for planning, preparation, and team coordination. Seasonal and special events may require additional hours. Schedule flexibility is expected as needs arise. This position directly reports to the Senior Pastor.
Salary range:
$10,000
