  • University Church of Christ Ready to Build Something That Matters?
We are prayerfully searching for a passionate, Spirit-led youth minister who is ready to help build a small youth group into a thriving, Christ-centered youth program. If one loves Jesus deeply, believes in the active work of the Holy Spirit, and feel called to pour into the next generation, we'd love to talk with the applicant. We are offering a build, disciple, inspire, and grow opportunity. About Us We are a congregation of approximately 200 members of all ages, located in the heart of Denver, Colorado. We are a commuter church, with few of our community living in the neighborhood but willing to drive long distances because of the strong bonds built over our long history. We have a thriving young adult ministry, a well-organized benevolence project with a food pantry that feeds between 80-90 families each week, a church body that is passionate about service, relationships with Christ and each other, and teaching every person about the grace and peace that comes from knowing Jesus. About the Role The youth minister will lead and develop a vibrant ministry for youth in grades 6th through 12th, helping them:
  • Grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Develop a strong biblical foundation
  • Experience authentic Christian community
  • Discover and use their gifts in service The candidate will work closely with our elders, fellow ministers, volunteers, and families to shape aministry that is biblically grounded, relationally strong, and spiritually dynamic. What One Will Do
  • Plan, coordinate, administer, and evaluate a comprehensive youth ministry that reaches, teaches, encourages, challenges, and spiritually nurtures our youth
  • Craft lessons and units for both Sundays and Wednesdays that equip students to live out their faith and be led by the Spirit
  • Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment in which youth are able to wrestle with real-world issues through a Biblical lens
  • Build meaningful relationships with youth and their families
  • Organize and oversee special fellowship, discipleship, and mission opportunities, including local outings, camps, retreats, and mission trips
  • Form an intentional and meaningful partnership with Children's Ministry and Young Adult ministry leaders since a healthy youth ministry is deeply rooted in a strong foundation of early spiritual formation as well as preparing them for their future involvement.
  • Participate in worship and broader congregational life
  • Manage youth ministry planning, communication, and budgeting Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone with energy, creativity, and vision, someone who sees potential and wants to build something meaningful that has an eternal impact, and is:
  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to youth ministry
