WASHINGTON, D.C.
Job Description Christ Church, Georgetown, is an inclusive Episcopal community of faith and a living witness to the love of Christ. For more than 200 years we have sought to be a sanctuary from an often-chaotic and divided world, a place where politics are left at the door. All can participate here in traditional, reverent worship, lifelong Christian formation, meaningful fellowship, and service to those in need. This historic and growing parish in the heart of Washington, DC seeks a full-time priest. The position could suit a newly ordained priest seeking a first curacy, though ideally someone with several years of parish experience. Christ Church has an average Sunday attendance of 450 across four services and has welcomed more than 100 new members in the past year. The parish staff includes 12 people, among them four full-time priests. Worship is traditional, reverent, and grounded in the Anglican tradition, with a strong music program including bi-monthly Evensong during the program year. The parish is politically neutral and embraces a diversity of viewpoints within a spirit of mutual respect. Responsibilities include: Leading adult formation and parish groups; Organizing retreats, courses, and teaching series; Leading the women's ministry, Bible study, and annual retreat; Sharing in worship, preaching, and sacramental ministry; Sharing in the pastoral care of the congregation Type of Commitment Full Time Does this job pay?
