Apollo Beach Kids Director

Ministry Expectations Be a staff member that has a commitment to excellence, heart to serve, spirit of humility, conviction to lead, focus on team, culture of fun, and passion for people. Specific duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor and/or Executive Pastor. Understand and align the vision (Staff Values, Hills We Die On, Pathway, etc.) of Bell Shoals church in Shoal Kids ministry. Maintain registration, classroom management, and security policies/practices for weekly programming and special events (VBS, Family Dedication, Christmas Party, etc.). Direct the recruitment, training, development, scheduling, and appreciation of volunteers as needed to fully staff ministry rooms and special events. Select and prepare curriculum for Shoal Kids Ministry in collaboration with Next Generation Pastor and other campuses. Create activities, games, music and messages to communicate the truth of the Bible to children in relatable ways. Be the primary communicator to kids during Midweek programming. Work as part of Next Generation Team to help reach and equip families. Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new kids and families in conjunction with Connections Team. Connect and build relationships with local elementary school partners. Be proactive in the maintenance of facilities and grounds that involve ministry areas for kids. This includes working with our Academy on all shared spaces. Develop and manage an annual budget for Kids ministry. Perform other duties as assigned which may include helping with certain children or church special events (Easter Family Fun Night, Combined Campus Celebration, etc). Campus Collaboration Visit other campuses at least once a quarter to connect with other Shoal Kids staff/volunteers. This can be done during the week. Attend worship at other campuses 1x this academic year. Professional Development Attend a Kids/Family ministry conference and/or training. Read two books in the area of Kids/Family ministry. Continue to develop teaching/communication skills in large group settings. Personal Expectations Maintain God-ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, and your children third, grandchildren fourth, and your ministry fifth. Be loyal to the vision and staff and always protect the unity of Bell Shoals Church. Invest in and invite the lost to know Jesus and to get plugged into Bell Shoals Church. Give sacrificially to the ministry of Bell Shoals Church. Convictional Expectations Adhere to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message and agree to teach in accordance with it as our guiding statement of faith.
