Westside Christian Church is seeking a spirit-filled, Jesus loving person to lead our community of believers in worship. Westside is a church that is committed to growth in depth. We want to lead people into a life-giving relationship with Jesus. We are a church that is authentic, passionate, and striving to move people to take their next step as a disciple. We hope that all who walk through the doors experience Jesus through our hospitality. Overall, we strive to share Jesus, build believers, and show the love of Jesus to our community. We are an elder led church with roots in the Restoration Movement. We are non-denominational and are fiercely independent. Our church was planted in 1954 by amazing people who saw the need for a church in west Bradenton. Over the years the Lord has transformed our community of believers to continue to share Jesus, build believers and show His love to our community. We are a multigenerational church that has experienced numerical growth over the last 12-16 months. We offer two worship services each Sunday. Our first service is "traditional" and includes a mix of hymns and select contemporary worship songs accompanied by acoustic guitar. Our second service is the largest of the two and is considered our "contemporary" service. It includes the full worship team that plays a variety of contemporary worship songs. We celebrate communion in both of our services each week as we feel it is central to worship.

Summary:

The Worship Pastor is responsible for planning all aspects of worship. This position is responsible for leading the worship team and creative teams, planning of all worship services, managing worship technology, platform design including, all aspects of scheduling of worship team. The Worship Pastor will work with the Lead Pastor and Elders to minister to the church.

Job Duties:

Plan worship services in consultation with Lead Pastor Lead worship team for weekend services and special events and holidays which may not fall on the weekend. Lead student ministry band, if needed. Provides budget management for worship and creative teams. Oversee recovery ministry worship and technological needs. Spiritual development of volunteers within ministry areas. Lead creative team including designing lighting and designing and producing stage design. Manage and ensure proper technology for worship to include hardware, slide presentations (pro-presenter), sound, soundboard, MultiTracks, video encoding and streaming and other technology associated with worship. Plan and produce video content (i.e announcements, and special events) Attend position related meetings as required, lead ministry area meetings with volunteers and leaders Other duties as assigned Education and experience: Preferred bachelor s degree from Bible college or university. Preferred three years of experience
