Worship and Production Job Summary:
The Calvary Worship Leader will serve as a member of the Calvary Worship and Production team. The posture of the person in this role is first as a humble learner and second as a shepherd leader. This role provides worship and musical leadership in various scenarios while supporting the vision of the Lead Pastor of Worship and Senior Pastor. This position will vitally support the Worship and Production team to help keep the momentum of the vision moving ahead spiritually and creatively. This individual will lead worship primarily at a Calvary Church campus; Lead worship at other campuses occasionally; Assist in contributing creatively within the staff team, cooperatively contributing to major annual events and weekly meetings; Assimilate and develop current and new shepherd leaders in worship; Help build a system and structure of developing future worship and production volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Weekly Champion the mission and vision of the church Help maintain a Spirit-filled, healthy, and professional work environment Help lead the worship team made up of staff and volunteers, to shepherd worship each week at a Calvary campus Disciple and develop a volunteer worship leading team of vocalists and musicians Disciple and develop capable volunteers to shepherd moments in services and to clearly communicate God s Word to the people Collaborate with the Campus Pastor and production team at the campus to lead and execute each worship service Curate weekly Playback setlists for various worship environments Support worship experiences that take place at Calvary Calvary Students, Senior Adults, and other special services Disciple and develop a volunteer worship leading team of vocalists and musicians for Calvary Students at the assigned campus Support the CCHS Worship team in their development as worship shepherds Participate in several weekly meetings with both Calvary Worship/Production and other collaborative departments Seasonally Participate in and help lead at all special and seasonal services at Calvary Including but not limited to evening communion services, Christmas Nights of Worship, Christmas Eve, Easter, VBS, Calvary Student Collide Weekend, Calvary Student Camp, Women s Night of Worship and the Word, etc. Lead and assist worship events specific to the assigned campus Lead worship alongside Calvary Worship at internal and external retreats and events Go abroad to serve alongside Calvary s church planting partners once every 24 months Personally Cultivate rhythms of regular spiritual disciplines to foster true abiding in Christ Join or lead a community group within the campus Take up to six Sundays off for rest and time away
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree (Worship Leadership or related field preferred) 3+ years of worship leading in a church context Strong vocal and instrumental (guitar or keys preferred) leadership ability Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and develop volunteer teams Strong organizational, relational, and communication skills Agreement with the church s doctrine, vision, and philosophy of worship The Worship Leader must be competent and qualified to serve in the pastoral office as described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 Has a deep, abiding relationship with Christ, which compels one to reproduce that same life in the lives of others (discipleship) Must have a passion for discipling and (then) developing worship volunteers, especially next-generation leaders Has a vocational call to worship ministry within the local church Embraces, encourages, and loves the people in the community God has given him or her to oversee Strong emotional quotient of self-awareness, empathy toward others, and open to direction and guidance Able to manage and mediate conflict Competent, light-hearted, and self-led Is committed to lifelong learning Competent in or can gain quick competence in ProPresenter 7, Planning Center, Ableton, Playback, Google Suite, and Apple Suite Able to lift 40 pounds occasionally
