Youth Director

We are hiring a Youth Director! The Youth Director provides pastoral leadership for students (grades 6-12) by creating a safe, Christ-centered environment where students are known, grow in faith, build relationships, and live out the Gospel. This role partners with staff, volunteers, and families to advance the mission of Community Life Church. This full-time, exempt salaried position will report directly to the Associate Pastor. Leadership & Vision

• Collaborate with staff and the Associate Pastor to advance church mission and vision
• Lead all aspects of Youth Ministry, including programs, events, retreats, and mission trips
• Develop annual goals, KPIs, and a 12-month ministry plan Programming & Teaching
• Teach engaging, Bible-based messages and provide small group discussion content
• Plan and oversee weekly programs, events, and curriculum across all environments Team & Volunteer Development
• Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers
• Lead and develop the Assistant Youth Director
• Ensure adherence to Safe Sanctuary policies Student Discipleship & Care
• Foster a strong, Christ-centered community and culture
• Provide mentoring, pastoral care, and discipleship to students and families
• Lead service and mission opportunities Family & Community Engagement
• Communicate regularly with parents and support family discipleship
• Engage with local schools and community events to build relationships and outreach
• Collaborate with and support other church ministries Administration & Operations
• Manage ministry budget and oversee expenses
• Coordinate fundraising efforts for trips and events
• Utilize Planning Center for scheduling, attendance, and communication Growth & Development
• Pursue personal spiritual growth and professional development
• Stay informed on cultural trends impacting students and families
• Lead and scale a growing ministry team over time
• Demonstrate leadership growth capacity as the ministry expands Qualifications & Requirements
• Strong, growing personal faith aligned with CLC mission
• Proven leadership experience (recruiting, training, and developing teams)
• Strong communication, organizational, relational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, ProPresenter, and social media tools
• Positive, adaptable attitude with strong conflict management skills
• Reside in local area and a willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Adherence to all CLC policies and handbook Education & Experience (Preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or related field
• Formal biblical training or equivalent ministry experience
• Ongoing leadership or ministry development training
• 4+ years of youth ministry experience (paid or significant volunteer leadership)
• Experiencing teaching or communicating to students
• Experience building and leading volunteer teams Additional Expectations
