We serve a diverse community that values both tradition and modern-day contemporary needs, and we are looking for a dedicated Imam to help lead and inspire. Position Summary We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Imam to lead prayers, offer spiritual guidance, and develop programs that cater to the broader community—especially the youth. This is a unique opportunity to shape the spiritual and educational direction of a growing and engaged community.

Non-Negotiable Requirements and Responsibilities:

Experience:

Prior experience as an Imam or an Assistant Imam, confident in public speaking, and well-versed in serving and working the American Muslim community.

Qur'an Memorization:

Must be a Hafiz and capable of Taraweeh prayers

Madhab Flexibility:

Must demonstrate respect for all major schools of thought and be able to serve a diverse congregation.

Prayer coverage:

Lead Fajr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers 5 days a week.

Khutbahs:

Deliver 3 out of 8 Friday Khutbahs per month.

Eid & Taraweeh:

Lead 1 out of 3 Eid prayers; Taraweeh leadership required as a Hafiz, but coordination may be handled by others.

Office Hours:

Minimum 3 days/week (including 1 weekend day).

Youth Focus:

Actively serve in a dual role as a mentor and spiritual leader for youth

Weekly Programs:

Conduct one weekly evening Khatira and one weekly post-Fajr reflection

Community Engagement:

Lead one monthly community event or workshops, with a focus on families and youth

Committee Involvement:

Participate in at least one monthly board meeting.

Performance Reviews:

Undergo structured mid-year and year-end evaluations based on clearly defined goals.

Negotiable/Preferred Qualifications:

Arabic Fluency:

Strongly preferred for broader communication

Additional Availability:

Willingness to increase office hours by two more days

Conflict Resolution:

Ability to provide mediation and conflict resolution for family or community issues.

Sunday School Role:

Serve in an advisory capacity in Sunday school/Maktab curriculum and activities

Interfaith Engagement:

Encouraged to build ties with other faith and external communities

Convert Support:

Experience supporting and mentoring new Muslims is a welcome asset.
