Co About Lincolnton Methodist Church:
Church and Community Description:
Lincolnton Methodist Church is a vibrant, medium-sized congregation of the Global Methodist Church located approximately 30 miles north of Augusta, Georgia-home of the Masters Golf Tournament. Our church is deeply committed to Christ and is experiencing steady, healthy growth. Lincolnton Methodist Church seeks to live out God's love in tangible ways. That spirit is felt the moment you walk through our doors on Sunday morning. Our congregation is increasingly made up of young families, and this exciting season of growth has created the need to add an Associate Pastor to our ministry team. We are seeking a pastor who feels called to walk alongside families, nurture disciples, and help guide our church into its next chapter. To support this growth, Lincolnton Methodist Church has embarked on a thoughtful three-phase expansion plan: 1. Phase One (Completed): A home adjacent to our Fellowship Hall was purchased and remodeled to serve as administrative offices, freeing up two large rooms for much-needed Sunday School and classroom space. 2. Phase Two (In Progress): Expansion of on-site parking on previously purchased property. 3. Phase Three (In Planning): Construction of a Christian Life Center on church-owned property. A task force is currently gathering data to discern the needs of both the church and the surrounding community, helping shape the vision and design of this future space. Lincolnton is a wonderful town of approximately 1,700 residents, known for its warm hospitality, Southern charm, and year-round community events. Lincoln County has a population of about 8,000 and is home to a school system that actively welcomes and encourages pastoral involvement. The county's eastern border is Clarks Hill Lake (also known as Lake Strom Thurmond), offering more than 400 miles of shoreline and earning the nickname "Georgia's Freshwater Coast." Growth in the county is being fueled by new home construction and families relocating to this beautiful recreation area. Outdoor activities and community life are central to the culture of Lincoln County. This is an exciting opportunity for a pastor who desires to serve in a growing church, engage meaningfully with families, and minister in a supportive, community-oriented environment.
