Lead Pastor

Job Overview Green Mound Church of God is seeking a compassionate and inspiring Pastor to lead our church family in deeping their relationship with Jesus Christ. We are looking for a servant leader, whether just starting their vocational ministry journey or bringing years of seasoned experience. Who is committed to biblical preaching , pastoral care, and engaging our community. Responsibilities Deliver engaging sermons and religious teachings that inspire and educate the congregation. Provide bereavement support and hospice care guidance to families during times of loss. Offer Christian counseling to individuals and families facing personal crises or spiritual challenges. Lead worship services, prayer meetings, and special religious events. Mentor church members, including youth and adult groups, fostering their spiritual development. Plan and coordinate community outreach programs, workshops, and church events. Facilitate conflict management and crisis intervention within the congregation to promote a harmonious environment. Develop educational materials, write sermons, devotionals, and other religious content. Public speaking engagements to promote church activities and community involvement. Collaborate with church leadership on strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in pastoral ministry or Christian leadership roles. Strong communication skills with excellent public speaking and presentation abilities. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and mentor others. Proficiency in teaching biblical principles and conducting religious services. Skills in event planning, crisis management, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention. Compassionate demeanor with experience in bereavement support and hospice care is preferred. Ability to provide effective Christian counseling tailored to individual needs. Excellent writing skills for sermon preparation, newsletters, and educational materials. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and empathy. Pay:
