Part-time Interim Director of Youth Outreach

Job Summary We are a Gospel Centered church looking for an interim director of youth outreach. He or she will be a self-motivated and proactive evangelist and disciple-maker to revitalize the church's youth ministry. The Interim Director will primarily serve as a visitation chaplain for youth and plan a quarterly family night for them and their relatives. He or she will plan, direct, and equip the youth, parents, and volunteers, to grow in Christlikeness, giving particular attention to reaching unchurched youth and families in the Jerome area. He or she will also recruit, train and lead a close-knit group of student and adult core servant-leaders who seek to be sincere and relevant in edifying Christian students and their families. The position is $20.00 an hour and around 15-20 hour per week. There are no included benefits, but they may be negotiable. Reports to the lead pastor (a former youth and college pastor himself) and secondarily to the Church's Elder board. The Interim Director of Youth Outreach will love the church's team-approach to ministry: collaborating with the Church's admin, deacons, elders, Christian formation, and volunteers, he or she will enjoy being well supported in casting the vision and executing the ministry. With the right servant-leader, the position is poised to grow into a half or even full-time position in the next 3-5 years.
