Riggins A/G Senior Pastor Riggins Idaho is a community nestled in a beautiful canyon with a population of around 600 people. The community is known for its salmon and steelhead fishing. The Salmon River flows through Riggins with jet boat races and river rafting in the spring and summer. Some of the best hunting in Idaho takes place here. Riggins is an outdoor and sportsman paradise. We are seeking to fill the Senior Pastor position. We are associated with the Assemblies of God. The Riggins Assembly of God church embraces a clear commitment to traditional Christian faith, in adherence to the infallible Word of God. Our close-knit congregation includes individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience. We have a strong Ranger and Girls Ministry Program and are very committed to missions with emphasis on Light For The Lost and BGMC. The Church uses video music programs as a part or our worship services. Church attendance varies throughout the year ranging from 15 to 25 dependent upon the various activities such as rodeos, hunting, rafting, school activities, and others that happen on weekends in local communities near Riggins. Riggins school district is highly rated academically and, in their sports programs, having won numerous state championships throughout the years. This is a part-time position and will require the selected Pastor to be bi-vocational. Applicants must have Assemblies of God credentials. The church currently will provide an amazing parsonage that has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths with an office plus detached 2 car garage. The primary role of the Senior Pastor is to oversee the spiritual health and well-being of the congregation. The Senior Pastor is also responsible for the preaching/pulpit ministry for Sunday services and, above all, must have a heart for winning the lost. Additional important duties inherent to this position include; continual awareness of the congregation, maintaining essential pastoral care for, and visitation of members in need, and the development and oversight of appropriate staff to accommodate the various age groups represented in the church. A qualified applicant must be capable of maintaining the day-to-day operation of the church, including its financial oversight. A candidate must be able to articulate a clear vision for the direction of the church for present and future generations. Candidates should exhibit a confident, pioneering spirit, with an earnest desire to reach out to the surrounding community. Strong leadership is also required for the establishment and/or improvement of ministries, to aid members in achieving their full Christian potential.
