Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as our Youth Pastor. The Youth Pastor will be responsible for leading and shepherding the youth ministry (6-12th grade), providing spiritual guidance, and fostering an environment that encourages evangelism, discipleship, spiritual growth, and fellowship among our young people. This position requires a deep commitment to Jesus Christ, conservative, evangelical beliefs, a heart for youth ministry, and the ability to effectively engage and connect with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that aligns with the values and beliefs of Calvary Community Church. 2. Lead weekly youth meetings, including teaching Bible studies, facilitating discussions, and organizing activities and events that promote evangelism, discipleship, spiritual growth and community building. 3. Provide pastoral care and support to youth, offering guidance, counsel, and prayer as needed. 4. Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer leaders to assist in various aspects of youth ministry, including small group leaders, event coordinators, and worship team members. 5. Plan and oversee youth retreats, camps, mission trips, and other special events designed to see teens come to Jesus, while also deepening student relationships with God and each other. 6. Build relationships with youth and their families, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the church. 7. Collaborate with other church staff members and ministries to integrate youth into the broader life of the church and facilitate their transition into adult congregational life. 8. Stay informed about trends and issues affecting youth culture and incorporate relevant topics into teaching and programming. 9. Manage the youth ministry budget, resources, and administrative tasks in a responsible and efficient manner. 10. Participate in regular staff meetings, training opportunities, and professional development to enhance ministry effectiveness. 11. Build, grow, and manage Calvary Community Church's social media and online presence. 12. Lead your family to be faithful disciples of Jesus who actively participate in the life of the church.

Job Qualifications:

Qualifications:

1. A vibrant personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to conservative, evangelical theology and principles. 2. Bachelor's degree in youth ministry, theology, or a related field (ministry and theological education preferred). 3. Previous experience working with youth in a church or ministry setting. 4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to and connect with young people from diverse backgrounds. 5. Leadership abilities, including the capacity to empower and equip volunteers for ministry. 6. Organizational skills and attention to detail in managing programs, events, and resources. 7. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of youth ministry. 8. Commitment to cultivating a Gospel Advancing Ministry. 9. Knowledge of social media and the internet and the ability to utilize both for the gospel and kingdom of God 10. Willingness to undergo a background check and adhere to the church's child protection policies.
