Senior Pastor

Purpose and Functions:

Work with the Elders, teachers, and other leaders to: Prepare and conduct worship services for the congregation; Develop and implement teaching programs for congregation; Develop and implement outreach programs. Prepare and deliver sermons, devotions, and talks as needed. Perform/facilitate weddings, funeral, and other religious functions of the church. Manage your time in a professional manner. Keep your personal life in a manner consistent with your calling as a Minister. Carry out any reasonable job responsibility or duty developed by the Elders, Board, or the congregation. Be responsible for leading in the pastoral care of the congregation and other ministerial duties: Visit the sick and shut-ins as needed; Participate in church meetings and events; Submit written and oral reports to the board. Provide spiritual and emotional support for the families of the church.

Personal Characteristics:

Extensive and in-depth knowledge of the Bible. Excited and passionate about the mission of the Church. Ability to present information effectively both orally and in writing. Encourages, supports, and participates in church life. Is supported and encouraged by his family in his ministry. Self-disciplined and motivated in his work habits.
