Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking an inspiring and compassionate Senior Pastor to lead and nurture our faith community in Evansville Indiana and the Tri-State Area.. The ideal candidate will serve as a spiritual leader, providing guidance, support, and vision to foster growth, unity, and spiritual development within the congregation. This role requires a dynamic individual who can deliver compelling sermons, facilitate meaningful worship experiences, and offer pastoral care to individuals and families. The Senior Pastor will also oversee church programs, mentor staff and volunteers, and represent the church in the wider community with enthusiasm and integrity. Responsibilities Deliver engaging sermons that inspire faith, hope, and love while aligning with the church's doctrinal beliefs. Provide pastoral care through counseling, crisis intervention, bereavement support, and spiritual guidance to congregation members facing life challenges. Lead worship services, including planning services, coordinating music and liturgy, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all attendees. Oversee church programs such as youth ministry, adult education, outreach initiatives, and community service projects. Mentor staff members, volunteers, and congregation leaders to foster leadership development and effective teamwork. Represent the church at community events, public speaking engagements, and interfaith activities to promote a positive church presence. Manage conflict resolution within the congregation with tact and compassion while maintaining a peaceful church environment. Skills Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills capable of engaging diverse audiences. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others and build a cohesive team. Excellent communication skills—written and verbal—to articulate spiritual messages clearly and effectively. Experience in teaching various age groups through sermons, Bible studies, or educational classes. Proficiency in event planning for church services, retreats, outreach events, and special occasions. Knowledge of crisis management techniques to handle emergencies or sensitive situations confidently. Background in Christian counseling with expertise in bereavement support and hospice care when needed. Skilled in mentoring others to develop their spiritual gifts and leadership abilities. Ability to manage conflicts constructively while fostering a spirit of unity within the congregation.
